Experience. Integrity. Commitment.

It has been my privilege to serve the profession as a Bencher over the last three years and I am seeking re-election to build on the significant progress we have made during the current term. There is much work to do to implement the LSA’s new Strategic Plan in the areas of Innovation & Proactive Regulation, Competence & Wellness, Access to Justice and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion. We are at a critical juncture within the profession and I look forward to helping to implement these worthy initiatives.

I have been honoured to serve in leadership roles as a Bencher, currently sitting on the Executive Committee and as Chair of the Policy and Regulatory Reform Committee. I previously served as Vice-Chair of the Conduct Committee and as Vice-Chair of the Innovating Regulation Task Force. Recently, I was appointed as the LSA representative to the Board of the Alberta Law Foundation (ALF), whose commitment to increase access to justice is more crucial than ever in these challenging times. I also serve on the Bencher Election Task Force, whose mandate includes increasing the number and diversity of candidates running for Bencher.

A long-time Edmontonian, I have been committed to making the city a better place to live, work and raise a family through my volunteer involvement with a number of charitable and non-profit organizations, including the Mustard Seed Society, Spinal Cord Injury (Alberta) and the Paralympic Sports Association. Professionally, I have been extensively involved with the Edmonton Bar Association (EBA) and the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association (ACTLA), serving as President of each organization.

Serving as a Bencher has been the most rewarding and challenging volunteer experience of my career and I look forward to continuing to put that experience to work on behalf of the profession over the next three years.
