Statement

I am grateful to be acclaimed as the Bencher representative for Alberta North.  For over 17 years, I have lived and practiced law/mediation in Lloydminster and area as both an Alberta and Saskatchewan bar call. I am passionate about using my skills and experience to advance the mission in the Law Society’s strategic plan and to foster positive change within our legal community.

One of my top priorities will be to improve access to justice for all Albertans. By implementing initiatives to bridge the gaps in access to legal services, we can help ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to seek and receive justice.

Additionally, I am deeply committed to fostering innovation within the legal profession. In an ever-changing world, it is crucial to embrace new technologies, streamline processes, and adapt to emerging trends. Through collaborative efforts with legal professionals, stakeholders, and technology experts, we can explore creative solutions to old and new challenges, while enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in our legal practices.

Lastly, I commit to promoting excellence throughout our legal community. By advocating for ongoing professional development and mentorship programs, we can ensure that our legal professionals are equipped with the knowledge and resources needed to deliver the highest quality of legal services to Albertans.

Together, we can bring about lasting effective change and continue the good work of the Benchers to date, ensuring we have a legal profession that is accessible, innovative, and of the highest calibre.
